On the Grand Prix Husky

When I retired from racing cars, I started racing motocross
(mid seventies — probably taken at Indian Dunes or Carlsbad)

Way ahead of the pack on the 250cr Husky (Husqvarna) Gran Prix motocross racer
(mid to late seventies — Indian Dunes Motocross Race Track. I loved racing bikes!)

Alfa Romeo 1600 SS poster ad

An Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sprint Speciale Ad of the time
(I owned a red 1600 SS as well as the white one, below)

The SS had the lowest drag coefficiency (around 60) of any auto ever tested by R&T magazine. Its very slippery shape + an engine tweak to 150HP, made it an easy 140 MPH cruiser (driven often in pre-speed limit Nevada :)

(This 1966 Sprint Speciale was chassis #AR381245, where is it now?)
